Privacy & Cookie Notice
Who to contact
This website presents Kate Ramsay's counselling, psychotherapy, EMDR and supervision services. For questions about your personal information, email kate@kateramsay.co.uk.
Enquiries and the waiting list
If you email, telephone or book a conversation, the information you provide is used to respond and arrange contact. The waiting-list form collects your name, email, optional phone number, service and session preferences, funding method and insurer where relevant, and any availability or message you choose to provide.
Waiting-list details are stored through Lovable Cloud in the EU and used to manage the list and notify Kate. Public visitors cannot read other people's entries. Your enquiry may reveal sensitive information about your health; please share only what is needed at this stage. All information is deleted after you have been contacted from the waiting list. A separate therapy agreement and privacy information will cover clinical records.
Optional analytics
The website's Google Analytics tag and its own visit and enquiry-action tracking remain off until you select “Accept analytics”. Rejecting does not prevent contact, booking or waiting-list submission. No advertising tracking is being added.
If accepted, Google Analytics measures page visits and interactions. Google may process device, browser and network information and set analytics cookies. The site's own statistics use a random per-tab identifier, pages visited, referring sources, campaign information and enquiry actions; visit logging also includes browser information and time spent. Enquiry-action records do not include your name, contact details or message.
Cookies and changing your mind
Essential local storage remembers your choice on this browser, including when you chose, the notice version and text, and the latest earlier acceptance when you withdraw. It is not advertising consent. This preference stays until you change it, clear browser storage or a changed notice requires a new choice.
Optional Google cookies include names beginning “_ga”, “_gid” or “_gat”. The site's analytics session information lasts within the browser tab. Withdrawal stops new site-controlled analytics events and attempts to remove accessible analytics cookies and session information. It does not delete information previously sent to providers.
Other services on the website
Calendly supplies the booking calendar and has its own privacy and cookie choices. Google Maps supplies the embedded location map, and Google Fonts supplies the website fonts. These services can receive network information when loaded; rejecting analytics here is not a consent choice for their separate services. Zoom is used for online sessions.
You can read Calendly's privacy notice and Google's privacy policy to see how each service handles your information.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law provides rights to access, correct, erase or restrict personal information, object to processing, and receive certain information in a portable form. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. Contact Kate to discuss a request.
You can also raise concerns with the Information Commissioner's Office.
